University Without Walls

In the summer of 1995, a year after the Sopot Festival, I was accepted into Northeastern IL University’s independent study program ‘University Without Walls’. The theme of the program I designed was ‘Technology and the Arts in Poland’. It was based on my experience using technology artistically, with a focus on Polish music and culture. It allowed me to take up Arthur Winiarski’s offer to relocate me and my studio to Poland. There were about 40 applicants for the NEIU program. I was lucky to have been one of the three applicants accepted into the program in 1995. It made my move to Poland possible.
